Chapter 7: Green
There was something about the month of March that Zack really didnt like, it wasnt warm outside yet, the weather was rather unpredictable, either being a blisteringly cold snow storm one day and then the next a beautiful spring afternoon, and the fact that March had nothing exciting about it except occasionally when Easter would happen to fall in it. But other then that nothing really made March all that special.
Today was a day like any other day, a work day that ended in the letter Y.
Zack was late this morning, over sleeping his alarm by a half and hour, and now as he tugged in though the back door, which slammed shut because of the massive winter snowstorm that was blowing outside, he sighed making his way over to the time card slot to clock in.
Shoving his card into the clocked in time card holder he tossed his blue Super Club blazer though his belt loop he sighed skating out of the back and to the store. Passing by the far wall where Glen Gary and Dirk were discussing some paper work about the store he paused slowing down as he skated by. Both were decked out in green, Glen Gary wore a green turtle neck, a green tie, and wearing blue jeans, and Dirk dressed in a green button up shirt and a stripped green tie with tan work pants. Zack raise an eyebrow at them. When did the two of them start dressing alike?
Shaking his head he entered the store. Passing by everyone in the store his mind was a million miles away while other people passed him; he didnt notice that they were all decked out in all green, while he wore nothing of the sort.
Making his way to his employee lounge, up in the high shelves above the Super Club main floor, he turned down another aisle and came to a dead stop. Vince stood at the other end, his sly smile on his face made him nervous. Decked out in green as well Vince moved forward his smile still evident on his face. The two of them stood in this face off, Vince moving ever closer and Zack, still standing there unsure of the other mans actions.
Within second Vince was next to Zack, he leaned in close and Zack froze before he felt a sound pinch on his rear end. Yelping slightly, he felt a rush throughout his entire body as the man whispered in his ear. Happy St. Patricks Day.
Zack was alone again, a blush on his face and his hand resting on his butt where Vince had pinch him. Turning around he saw Vince walking away never looking back at him. A smile curved on his own face. March was now officially his new favorite month.
